Anyone calculating on average unit cost is calculating on the past. For items you purchase irregularly, the last buy may be months old. Procurement costs never appear in the figure at all. And a purchasing advantage you worked hard for is passed on to the customer unasked.

Freely selectable basis
The basis can be the unit cost, the direct costs (latest) or entries from the purchase price lists. Procurement costs and strategic markups are calculated on top.

Using the Strat. Purch. Price (Basis) fields, you can alternatively define the basis by import or by hand. Or maintain the Strategic Purchase Price entirely manually.

Use in price calculation
The Strategic Purchase Price feeds into sales price calculation through the calculation groups. Your price determination therefore works with the value you defined, not with an average drawn from stock.

Output and margin check in sales lines
In sales documents, the Strategic Purchase Price is output as the purchase price. Margin determination and margin checking operate on that value, so the module works directly with your existing margin check.

Display in Price Info Sales
The value is also visible in Price Info Sales, so your sales team has the basis of calculation in front of them.

Setup down to item level
Set up globally on the item, and extended by location, variant, date and quantity where needed. Per item and variant, the function can be switched on or off.

Item ledger entries remain untouched
What is manipulated is the unit cost in the sales line. In the background, item and value entries are still posted correctly according to the costing method you have set up.
