With the Narra Release, we are shipping one of the largest update packages Timber has seen so far. The focus is on returnable packaging, tighter control in disposition and tours, and compliance that keeps up with the EUDR TRACES API.
Every change below links straight to its own detailed description. You do not have to search the changelog.
🚚 Logistics, Disposition and Tours
📦 Tradeable Packaging Items
Pallets, crates and containers you loan to customers are now managed in Timber instead of in a spreadsheet.
- Mark an item as Tradeable Packaging Item on the item card
- Add packaging to sales orders, warehouse shipments, disposition plannings and transfer orders via Change Tradeable Packaging
- See what is still out per customer in Deposit Qty. and Deposit (LCY)
- Post against balance sheet accounts with 0% VAT, because a deposit is not revenue
With the On Route app, drivers collect the packaging during the tour and it is credited back automatically.

- Capacity ledger entries carry a Setup Cost field
- Produce more than planned and the setup cost stays at the planned amount, produce less and it is still posted in full

Conclusion
The Narra Release closes gaps that were previously filled with spreadsheets, phone calls and manual corrections. Returnable packaging is tracked where the goods are booked. Planned quantities stay planned. Dispatchers see capacity before the truck is overloaded. And EUDR verification follows the official API instead of a status field.
If you activate one thing after the update, make it the Tradeable Packaging Items module. That is the one your warehouse notices on day one.
