I’m working for team CN, the team that takes care of the Dutch speaking customers of acadon. I was hired to do the marketing & communication for this team but have since gained a few more responsibilities. For example, I take care of the posts on our internal Sharepoint on three days of the week & I have helped set up this Sharepoint as well. My day mostly consists of writing content, organizing events, translating files, organizing things for our Dutch colleagues or in our Bergeijk-office and helping Jorrit, the sales manager of the Dutch speaking market.

When I finished university I first went travelling, working in Australia and experiencing new cultures in Asia. After this I started working at a company producing tents to put over your swimming pool to keep it clean & warm. There I did everything from financial administration until the marketing. At some point this company was taken over and I decided to work for myself, acadon was one of my customers. When me and my boyfriend bought a new house that needed a lot of renovation, I needed more structure and was very happy that acadon wanted to hire me!

Hmm, that’s a difficult question. I would describe acadon as a fun, young company. I really enjoy working with my colleagues. What also excites me is the international part of the company. I work together with colleagues from Germany and Denmark, which is interesting because our cultures are a different, albeit in a small way.

In my free time I play handball, I spend time with my friends and family and I go on trips with my boyfriend with our rooftop tent. Furthermore, I enjoy playing games, solving puzzles, watching series, going for walks and reading.

Yes, I would recommend this. Although my part of the job is just a small part in all the possible roles available in the acadon-company, I think any role would be fun at acadon. There are some challenges, like really getting to know the software, as it is such a complete solution, but all in all, everyone supports each other which makes the work fun.
